Is Mecenates free right now?

Yes. We are in Free Public Early Access, so everything on the platform is free: Denarii, commissions, gallery extensions, everything. You can try it all without spending a cent.

How do commissions work?

You find an artist you like, propose a commission with your Denarii, and the artist can accept it or discuss it with you first. Once agreed, the artist works on your artwork. You can read the full flow in Propose a Commission and Discuss & Accept Commissions.

What happens if I cancel a commission?

The Denarii you spent are not refunded: this is a way to protect artists' time. The only exception is when we, Mecenates, break our side of the agreement. More details in Cancellations & Refunds.

How long does it take to get support?

We answer within 2 working days. If the issue is urgent, write anyway: we read every message.

What happens to my gallery if I stop being active?

Galleries are deactivated 3 months after their creation, so abandoned pages do not stay online forever. You can extend the expiry date with Denarii: 1 Denarius gives you 3 more months, up to 20. See Keep Your Gallery Visible.

Can I use Mecenates from my phone?

Yes. The site works in any browser, so you can browse galleries and manage your commissions from your phone.
